History

Following on from his lecture at the Discovery 2017! Conference, Barrie Hartwell (former President of the UAS), has compiled a history of the Ulster Archaeological Society.  The article  charts the history of the Society from its beginnings in 1947, its strong association with Queen's University and its growth in recent years with the thriving Field Survey Group.
