Business Clinic
The Business Clinic at Queen's Management School gives organisations access to a student consultant or consultancy team to work on a specific issue or challenge related to the business.

Businesses of all shapes and sizes are eligible to take part in the Business Clinic. Industry, government, charities, and not-for-profit organisations can approach us with a specific business issue that has been identified internally, but not yet worked through due to time or available resources.

Undergraduate student teams or solo postgraduate students are matched with businesses looking for consultancy support with a specific issue. Each student or team is supervised by an experienced academic. The students receive structured guidance on how to approach the problem, putting what they have learned in their degrees into practice. They work on the business issue for 12 weeks between June and September.

Organisations should come to the Business Clinic with a clearly defined project for the student consultants to work on. Each student will require a company mentor who will help them to understand the business and fully explain the issue to be worked on, and help them with access to necessary business data.

The student consultants will produce engaging, action-oriented reports complete with evidence-based, tangible recommendations. They will also deliver a presentation. The presentation, report and recommendations form part of the students' graded coursework, providing strong motivation to deliver excellent results.

We welcome consultancy projects on topics such as:
- Strategic changes e.g. expansion to new markets, the future of work.
- People management e.g. talent management, global workforce management.
- Marketing and Communications e.g. social media strategy, marketing strategy.
- Operations management e.g. workforce, operations, supply chain etc.
- External factors impacting your organisation. An aspect of a new product/ service offering.
- And others.
Students have worked with organisations such as: Danske Bank, KPMG, Innovation Factory, Bryson Charity Group, AllState NI, Denroy, and TeamFeePay.

Applications are currently closed, but will reopen again in September 2023.
