Part of a Joint Doctoral (PhD) Programme in the Cognitive Science of Religion
Queen’s University Belfast and Aarhus University Denmark

 

Mr Turpin will be defending his thesis entitled:

Failing God:  A Cognitive Anthropological Examination of the Relationship between Catholic Scandals and Irish Secularisation 

Date:               Thursday, 19 July, 2018

Time:              10 am – 1 pm

Location:        Senate Room, 0G/059, Lanyon Building, Queen’s University Belfast

The defence is public, and all are welcome.   

The defence is scheduled for a maximum of three hours, and the proceedings will be chaired by John Barry, Professor, School of History, Anthropology, Philosophy and Politics.

The dissertation is available for reading on location at the general office of the School of History, Anthropology, Philosophy and Politics in 25 University Square and, on location at the office of the PhD Administration, Graduate School, Faculty of Arts, Taasingegade 3,  room 416., 8000 Aarhus C, Aarhus University.
