Undergraduate First Year

Welcome Message from Year Head

Welcome to the School of Psychology at Queen’s University, Belfast. We are delighted to welcome you as our incoming Level 1 students and support you during this exciting time of transition as you pursue your studies in Psychology.

It truly is a special feeling becoming a Psychology student at Queen’s and beginning a journey that will inspire you to develop your unique skills in so many ways. I hope you are all looking forward to meeting your new lecturers, tutors, and wider school community who all play such an important role in your first year at the School of Psychology. Most of all, I imagine you are all looking forward to meeting each other and making new friends! Our Level 1 motto is ‘If everyone is moving forward together, then success takes care of  itself.’ Within the School, staff and peer support is something that is really important to us. We are one big School Community that you are now very much part of.

I am looking forward to meeting you all over the coming weeks at the induction activities and getting to know more about you. For now, be proud of how far you have come and look forward to how far you will go in the School of Psychology.
