Undergraduate Third Year

Welcome Message from Year Head

I would like to wish you all a very warm welcome to Level 3 of your Psychology degree, and I hope you all had a pleasant and restful summer. It is fantastic that you have made it this far in your studies and we really hope that you will enjoy the final year of your degree programme. As you are probably already aware of, Level 3 is an important year in your degree. In Level 3, you will have the opportunity to apply the knowledge, skills and experience you have developed during your degree, and apply these to the completion of your final year research thesis. You will also have the opportunity to select optional modules this year which cover a wide range of psychological topics. Your final year is also a time to consider the next steps in your career, be it employment, further study, or something different altogether. The school is there to help support you in planning for your future, so I would encourage you to make use of the available resources during this year, as you will find that time flies by pretty quickly! As always, I am an email away if you have any queries specific to the L3 course. I wish you all the very best for the upcoming year and I look forward to seeing you all at induction!

Dr Paddy O'Connor (L3 Year Head)
