Showcases 2020

Student Showcases 2020

Student Showcases at the Seamus Heaney Centre 2020
supported by the Queen’s Annual Fund

Our graduates go on to do wonderful things and we’re proud to be able to give them a platform in the early days of their careers. This year we produced a series of Student Showcases of poetry, prose and script, alongside masterclasses designed to support a professional life of writing.

Students were invited to get involved with all aspects of this programme, including hands-on experience in the production of pamphlets and podcasts.

*Coronavirus/COVID-19 response*

We adapted our programme of showcase events and professional development masterclasses to deliver what we can online. We also introduced new ideas to mitigate the effects of isloation, and boost motivation and morale amongst our students and staff. We recorded and edited new sessions to make them more accessible for those with increased caring responsibilities, and to build resources for online learning in the future.
