Dementia Researcher Podcast - International Lewy Body Dementia Conference Highlights 2025

In January 2025, Clinical Lecturer Dr Joe Kane was an invited guest on the Dementia Research Podcast, together with Athina Grigoriou and Dr David Koss. The episode was the first of a two-part special podcast show recorded live at the International Lewy Body Dementia Conference in Amsterdam. Together, they discussed key highlights from the conference, including cutting-edge research on Lewy body dementia (LBD), Parkinson’s disease dementia (PDD), and synucleinopathies.

Topics include:

  • The role of DNA damage in LBD and its links to neurodegeneration
  • A new Lewy Body Dementia Domain Rating Scale and its impact on clinical trials
  • Advances in biomarkers and imaging for early diagnosis
