Visiting Students
The Visiting Student title enables registered students from other institutions to spend time at the School of Pharmacy, conducting research as part of their studies or as a research placement/internship. You must have an assigned supervisor within the School to join us as a visiting student.
To apply to become a visiting student at the School of Pharmacy, you should submit a completed Visiting Student Application Form to melissa.mcallister@qub.ac.uk, along with the following documentation:
- Your academic transcript or other suitable evidence of your current registration at your home institution
- A photocopy of your passport
- Copies of relevant immigration documentation (if applicable)
Should your application be successful, the title of visiting student can be conferred upon you for up to one year, and renewed annually until the end of your registration within your home institution, subject to agreement by the School of Pharmacy.
In addition to the above, please note the following:
- International applicants registered at doctorate or masters by research level who are subject to UK immigration control must obtain an ATAS certificate before studying in the UK (see Section F1 and Appendix 1 of the application form)
- Bench fees may apply depending on your project, and are normally charged in advance
- Visiting Students are not registered as students at Queen's University Belfast, and will not receive any study credit or qualifications from the University during their time as a visiting student
- You will not be remunerated by Queen's University Belfast during your time as a visiting student
- The title of visiting student is not available to doctoral training partnership students from other institutions
- By accepting the title of visiting student, you agree to the University's terms and conditions for holders of honorary status
