Films & Virtual Events
Over the spring and summer lockdown of 2020, we produced some short films to replace the readings, launches, and conversations that would have formed part of our live literary events programme. Together with colleagues at QFT, we have brought new writing by students, staff, Fellows and friends to thousands of viewers, all over the world.
And there will be more to come!

All our 'virtual events' are available to view for free (no subscription necessary), alongside many excellent titles on the QFT Player.
Recreate the atmosphere of the SHC Presents nights, or the relaxed productivity of the SHC Reading Room with a playlist from our Spotify page.
The SHC Presents... nights always have a themed playlist created by 'Master of Sounds' Michel Staley, but many other events have bespoke playlists to accompany them, and the Reading Room will always have a work-friendly album on the go. Music and lyrics are important to us, and we want share the soundtrack to the Heaney Centre beyond our walls.
