Autumn QUILL Meeting

3 October, 2023

QUILL hosted its autumn IAB meeting

The QUILL research center was delighted to host its in-person bi-annual IAB meeting Autumn 2023 edition.

 

Attendance this time had 17 students presenting their work to our industrial sponsor and a poster session with 14 poster, all showing excellent work to our audiance and industrial sponsors Dr Peter Klusener from Shell, Dr Geetha Srinivasan from Petronas, and Dr Fergal Coleman, Mr Thomas Kelly and Mr Anthony Dodd from Ionic Technologies. 

We were also delighted to have the visit of Dr Daniel Bowron, from ISIS Neutron and Muon Source-RAL, who has delivered an amazing lecture on Exploring Chemical Function in Structurally Disordered Systems.

As tradition, award were given to the best posters and to the best presentations. This time, winner price went to Mark Young and runner up was a tie between Beth Murray and Sanskrita Madhukaylia. Congratultaion for your excellent work showcased on your posters

Presentation award went to Mark Young for the Best Post graduate Presentation and to Harry Patterson for the best Summer Student Presentation. Congratulations to the the both of you.

Furthermore, to encourage student to participate, an award was givent to the best participation. This year Alosia King was the winner. Congratulation to you for asking very spot on questions.
