This scholarship has been created to celebrate and remember Mrs Kathleen Shott (nee Herald), a much-loved wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs Shott was an alumna of Queen’s who graduated with a First Class Honours in Mathematics in 1960 having resided at Riddel Hall whilst studying. Mrs Shott furthered her career as a Maths teacher in post primary and in third level education.

These Scholarships were established in 2019 in memory of Catherine Buchanan to both inspire and support female physics students in the School of Mathematics and Physics.

The Scholarships and Awards Regulations Handbook is a record of the regulations governing student scholarships, prizes, and awards from across the University. The regulations are owned by the relevant Schools and Departments who award the scholarship. However, the Regulations Handbook is maintained by the Student Scholarships and Awards Group.
