AEL SWAN welcome Maggie Cronin to present findings on Gender Representation in the Theatre Industry
In celebration of International Women’s Day 2020, the AEL SWAN team in cooperation with Waking the Feminists NI and UCU NI, coordinated an alternative university event at the Crescent Arts Centre on 12 March 2020.
The event featured a presentation and Q&A with acclaimed actor Maggie Cronin who is also a PhD student in AEL. Maggie gave a compelling account the research that she and her colleagues engaged in on gender representation in the theatre industry in Northern Ireland. The Q&A was very engaging and provided some fascinating and often poignant insights to gender disparity in the professional theatre in NI.
