AEL eXtra Puppy Love Event
The AEL eXtra Puppy Love event held on 11 March brought plenty of smiles to campus!
The event provided students with an opportunity to take a break from the stress of their studies and prioritise their wellbeing during the busiest period of the year ahead of assessments.
We were delighted to partner with the charity Cavaliers In Need, who kindly brought a group of wonderful dogs to campus. Their visit created a calm and welcoming environment, allowing students to relax, connect with others, and enjoy some much needed downtime.
The response from students was overwhelmingly positive, with many sharing how much they enjoyed the opportunity to step away from academic pressures:
“We loved getting to spend time with the dogs – it was a nice change of scenery from the stress of university.”
“Getting to pet puppies is probably the best between-lectures de-stressing activity I’ve ever experienced.”
“The puppy event was such a refreshing break from university stress; the room was filled with so much joy.”
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Cavaliers In Need for their support, as well as to the stars of the day; Betty, Daisy, Darcy, Tuppence, Holly, Black Dog, Jinny, Edi and Ester who made the event so special!
