Sally Bridge was named as a Medallist of the Order of the British Empire ‘for services to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion’.  Since joining AEL in 2023, Sally has transformed the student experience and student support in the School.  With a substantial history in pastoral support, Sally works with students with a wide range of needs, offering practical and compassionate support.  She was a founder member of PRISM and has many years of experience working with LGBTQIA+ and women’s charities across Northern Ireland.

Professor Michael Alcorn was named as a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) ‘for services to Music, to Higher Education, and to the Creative Industries.’   Founder of SARC and MediaLab at Queen’s, Michael has gone on to take up various senior leadership positions across the University and is currently Associate Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Sustainability and Strategic Projects).
