"Familiar Places: The Green Drones" by Dr Matilde Meireles, Sonic Arts Research Centre

“Familiar Places: The Green Drones” is an iteration of the project "X Marks the spot", a durational and multifaceted site-specific project that presents an alternative and augmented cartography of Belfast.

“Familiar Places: The Green Drones” compiles some of the recordings captured during "X Marks the Spot" (2013-2018), and sets them in close dialogue with recent field recordings of Belfast’s sonic environment.

“Familiar Places: The Green Drones” is partially funded by the Arts Council NI, and the Sonic Arts Research Centre, and made possible by the absolutely amazing team at PLACENI!
