Recent Graduates recognised at the prestigious Global Undergraduate Awards 2019

Recent English graduate, Caolan O'Neill, has been recognised at the prestigious Global Undergraduate Awards 2019. His essay ‘"Explore representations of sexuality and desire in Irish Gothic fiction and assess their thematic significance."’, written for Sinéad Sturgeon's Stage 3 "Irish Gothic" Module, earned a 'Highly Commended'.
The Global Undergraduate Awards (UA), established in 2008, is the world’s largest academic awards programme with over 100 affiliated institutions of higher education. Under the patronage of the President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins, UA identifies leading creative thinkers and problem-solvers through their undergraduate coursework.
Only the top 10% of submissions to their category, are shortlisted as Highly Commended Entrants.
It really is a great achievement and speaks to the high calibre of our students, well done Caolan and Sinéad
