Goodbye & Good Luck to Dr Norma Rainey

4 July, 2016

The School got together this week to celebrate the work and contribution of Dr Norma Rainey who is retiring this month.

Dr Norma Rainey Retirement Celebration

Norma has been with the School for over 20 years and has been instrumental in the delivery of our undergraduate Psychology curriculum.  Norma was not only a valuable member of the team, but also an alumni of the School.   Her PhD was co-supervised by Prof Carol McGuinness and Dr Karen Trew and examined the importance of friendship in older adulthood.  Prof Teresa McCormack presented a gift to Norma and added: "The School is very grateful for the important contribution Norma has made during her time at Queen’s, and especially grateful for the huge amount of support she has provided for our second year students in lab classes. We will miss having her around as she has been at the centre of School life for many years."
