Dr Sharon Frazer Clinical Teaching Fellow
Dr Sharon Frazer

Sharon is a Clinical Teaching Fellow on the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Queen’s University.  She is registered as a Clinical Psychologist with the Health & Care Professions Council and completed her Undergraduate Psychology degree, Post-graduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology (Applied Specialism) and her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsych) at Queen’s University, Belfast. She enjoys working therapeutically with children and families, and has held clinical posts in adult intellectual disability, paediatric psychology, and children’s learning disability therapeutic services within the NHS since qualifying in 2015.

Sharon is interested in family adjustment, trauma informed care for children with an intellectual disability, and experiences of medical trauma in children with chronic health conditions.  Her DClinPsych research explored the lived experience of children who use Methotrexate to manage their Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis.

Sharon is looking forward to supporting trainees through their journey to becoming qualified Clinical Psychologists and contributing to the ongoing development of the Queen’s DClinPsych course.
