The School of Psychology welcomes Dr Chris Smyth

20 December, 2023

Dr Chris Smyth - Teaching Fellow

Dr Chris Smyth School of Psychology
Dr Chris Smyth

I completed my undergraduate degree in QUB in 2014 and it is a privilege and an honour to return here as a newly appointed Teaching Fellow. My PhD modelled menta health over time in a representative UK population, utilising existing secondary data sources. After Completing my PhD I worked at Coventry University as a lecturer and Level 5 Year Head.

I have been engaged in research into ostracism, being published recently in Personality and Individual Differences and presented at the UK Data Science meeting in London.

Outside of academia I have worked in Local Government, and in Autism Support as well as undertaking a placement with the HNS Recovery College.
