QUB Student Union Education Awards. Congratulations Dr Brian McMaster!
Congratulations to Dr Brian McMaster who was nominated (yet again!) for one of the QUB Student Union Education Awards. The ceremony was held in the Whilta Hall on 19 April and I am delighted to say that Brian won his accolade. What was particularly special about his achievement was that this award was set up especially for him due to the sheer number of students nominations he received. This award was in special recognition of his 'inspirational' teaching and the students themselves wanted to be there in person to personally present him with the award.
Congratulations to Brian for his well deserved recognition and I would like to take this opportunity to thank him for all his hard work, dedication and devotion to our students through a lifetime of teaching. This is greatly appreciated within the School.
Finally, I am aware that the School had a number of staff that were also nominated for Education awards - this is really encouraging to see. Underlying these successes are the efforts (often unseen) by all within the School including support staff through to PhD demonstrators. So, as the 'teaching' semester draws to a close and the exams approach, I'd just like to thank all those who have worked so hard over the year.
Best wishes
Chris Watson (and Cathy Ramsbottom)
