The application and removal of sterile and non sterile gloves in a clinical setting. Non sterile gloves should be used to protect the nurse from bodily fluids, sterile gloves are worn to protect the patient from infection during certain proceedures. The correct handwashing technique should be carried out before  the application and after the removal of gloves.
