CI's: Professor Christine Brown Wilson, Dr Gillian Carter, Dr Carole Parsons, Dr Conor Barton, Mrs Rosaline Kelly, Mrs Cherith Rogers Aim: To co-design and test a digital resource to support care homes to identify and reduce restrictive practices. Objectives: I. Co-design a digital resource with healthcare professionals II. Co-design a restrictive practice audit tool III. Test the effectiveness of the digital resource through the completion of the restrictive practice audit pre and post implementation of the resource IV. Evaluate the usefulness of the resource by conducting focus group and individual interviews with participating care home healthcare staff Method: The digital resource will be developed using current research and guidelines, alongside the experience of care home managers, care home nurses and care workers, residents and family members of people affected by restrictive practices using a co-design methodology |
