We’re proud to be the only university in Northern Ireland to offer nursing degrees across all four specialisms – Adult, Children & Young People’s, Mental Health, and Learning Disability Nursing – as well as being the only provider of BSc Midwifery in Northern Ireland.
Available at undergraduate level, our 3 year BSc (Hons) Professional Nursing and BSc (Hons) Midwifwery is designed for people entering the profession with a wide range of level 3 qualifications. If you have completed Year 1 of a BSc Nursing or Midwifery programme in another U.K University (excluding Northern Ireland) you may be eligible to transfer into Year 2 of a BSc Nursing or Midwifery programme at Queen's University. Entry requirements will be updated shortly but for more information, please contact nursing@qub.ac.uk If you already have a Degree and are considering a career change, our MSc Professional Nursing is a fully-funded pre-registration programme. PLANNED & COORDINATED CARE
Queen's is the only University in Northern Ireland to offer courses in midwifery, registered by the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC). We offer a 3-year full time BSc (Hons) Midwifery Sciences programme, with intensive academic teaching and learning combined with practice placements.
