Celebrating International Women's Day 2021

8 March, 2021

In celebration of International Women's Day 2021, the SoBS Athena SWAN Team worked in collaboration with the MHLS Faculty to plan and deliver an exciting programme of events and initiatives for all staff and students.

The School of Biological Sciences' Athena SWAN Team were delighted to work together with colleagues from across the entire MHLS Faculty this year to plan and deliver a diverse programme of virtual activities for this year's International Women's Day celebration.

This year's campaign theme was 'Choose to Challenge' and staff and students were encouraged to get involved in the 2021 International Women's Day theme by raising their hand high to show that they commit to choose to challenge and call out inequality. We were delighted with the response on social media to the #ChooseToChallenge pose which was aimed at showing support and solidarity and encouraging further people to commit to helping to forge an inclusive world.

The School had great representaion acorss the IWD2021 programme. You can read more about the events by clicking here
