Pulse and Respiration

To take a radial pulse and count respirations. Taking the pulse manually is important so that the volume and regularity of the pulse can be felt, not just the rate. Counting respirations is a vital observation, often showing a change in a patient’s condition before other parameters change, therefore is not to be considered unimportant.

It is suitable for students of all fields of nursing.
