Description of Project: Aim; Methods; Expected Outcomes |
The aim of the study is to investigate methods by which student learning and support may be enhanced during practice placement. The study’s objectives are: • To identify appropriate technologies that may be used to increase student engagement with learning opportunities and with each other during clinical practice placement (thus fostering the sense of peer support); • To investigate the use of the technologies and/ or development of resources (identified via the initial objective) to capture and share individual learning experiences in different placement locations amongst class cohorts; • To explore how the lecturer may use such technologies/ resources as an efficient method of gauging student engagement during practice placement and provide support as required. |
