Description of Project: Aim; Methods; Expected Outcomes
|
In 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, Santin et al., completed a survey of 200 cancer carers in the UK. It has become apparent that carers are very isolated and distressedas a result ofthe COVID-19 pandemic. This study addresses theneed within the UK for COVID specific advice and help for cancer carers. This project aims rapidly develop and evaluate a COVID-19 specific cancer module to place within the existing UK cancer caring coping resource (www.cancercaringcoping.com) in order to support cancer carers locally. This will also act as a ‘blueprint’/’prototype’ for a similar module to sit within the Vietnamese resource as this information can be easily translated for use within Vietnam. |
