Aine McGuckin

Áine McGuckin - Technician

As a Technician in the Practice of Pharmacy I am directly involved in the teaching/supervision of pharmacy students. I am responsible for checking the accuracy of all medicinal products and devices they dispense, including controlled drugs.

Whilst I work alongside pharmacists, I fundamentally want to ensure that all advice I provide to the student cohort is reliable and represents current best practice, given that these students are future pharmacists and the majority will be directly interacting with members of the public/patients.

I have a very supportive husband and we are lucky to have been blessed with 3 healthy children.  I appreciate the support I receive to be able to work flexibly in a way which best suits my family - although still allowing me job satisfaction.
