AEL eXtra Build-A-Bear Event
We were delighted to host our much anticipated Build-a-Bear event for AEL students on Wednesday 4 February in The Great Hall.
The event has become a firm favourite in the School’s calendar, consistently drawing enthusiastic participation and plenty of smiling faces from students.
AEL students were able to create their own keepsake teddy bears, choosing from a range of options including sloths, monkeys, unicorns, elephants and more, followed by stuffing, inserting a heart and naming their teddy bear. The event provided a fun and welcoming space for students to take a break from their studies, connect with peers and enjoy a creative activity together, particularly following the recent release of their examination results.

We were very pleased to welcome visiting students participating in the Trinity University Programme. Reflecting on her time at Queen’s, Trinity student Danielle shared:
“Coming to Queen’s has been such an amazing opportunity. The university, the city and the people here are incredible. I love Belfast!”
AEL students spoke very positively about the event, describing it as both exciting and thoroughly enjoyable, appreciating the opportunity to unwind and spend time with peers.
The Build-a-Bear event reflects the School’s ongoing commitment to student wellbeing. Providing opportunities to step away from academic pressures and engage socially make a meaningful difference to students’ overall university experience.
