Dr Audrey Roulston

School of Social Sciences, Education and Social Work

My research focuses on the end of life care decision making, the psychological impact of living with life-limiting illness and bereavement support policies and needs assessment. I currently teach social work students prior to placements covering programmes of care including adults with physical health condition or disability, learning disability, dementia, older people, sensory disability.

I explore social work assessments such as NISAT, bereavement needs assessment and carer's needs assessment. I also examine tackling health inequalities, poverty, adult safeguarding, relationship based social work and stress, burnout and resilience.
