Industry Mentoring Completed for 2024/25

23 May, 2025

27 mentees and mentors were successfully matched in this years programme, and we are thrilled to have received such positive feedback!

This week we celebrated the completion of our Career Mentoring Programme! 27 mentees and mentors were successfully matched in this years programme, with top activities including CV review's, interview support, industry insight and confidence building.

From building confidence to gaining industry know-how, our mentees gained a key resource in their mentor toward their futures — with mentors providing encouragement, real-world perspective, and invaluable support along the way. Feedback from our students has been brilliant:

“Being able to talk to someone who works in the industry one-to-one, gave me a better insight into what careers in the environment can look like. Made me excited for my own career prospects.”

“I had a very positive experience with my mentor and it as given me confidence that I can find a job suited to me after I graduate”

“As a result of her guidance on applications, I have been more successful at getting interviews when applying to jobs”

“I had a great experience with my mentor, she is so friendly, helpful and to the point. Very willing to connect me with her own personal network, very easy to get in contact with. We will be continuing our relationship. She has been especially helpful with advice regarding careers both in industry and academia as she has experience in both!”

“She was very helpful in guiding me through interview and assessment centre prep to help improve my recruitment practice skills. She helped me by providing example questions and answers and giving me tips to stand out and be confident. Ultimately this led me to securing job offers from multiple companies”

A huge thank you to all the mentors who generously gave their time and expertise, and to the students who embraced the opportunity to learn and grow. Your partnerships are shaping the graduates of tomorrow!
