Summer Graduation 2024

Congratulations Class of 2024!

On Tuesday 2nd July the School of Biological Sciences and Institute for Global Food Security was proud to host Graduates and guests as they celebrated their wonderful achievements.

Students enjoyed lunch and refreshments before a prizegiving session, acknowledging the most outstanding achievements from this cohort, presented by Head of School of Biological Sciences, Professor Geoff McMullan. A huge congratulations to all our worthy prize winners. We also extend our appreciation and gratitude to all of our sponsors.

Clodagh Lynch -Yakult Top Project (Top FQSN Project) & SafeFood Essay Prize (Best Essay in FQSN)
Ellie Shevlin - Shirodaria Prize (awarded to the student with the best mark in the final year Medical Microbiology module)
Emma Shaw - Arthur Muskett Prize (Students who received the highest degree classification Environmental Management)
Kathryn McLoughlin - Flax Development Committee Award (Best final year Research Project in areas related to Agriculture)
Matthew McShane - UG Student Outstanding Commitment Award
Rebecca Patterson - Dai Roberts Prize (Awarded to the student with the highest mark in Honours project in Marine)
