World Leading Researchers
Our global impact on society
Together our researchers are having a global impact on society. They are advancing and expanding knowledge, helping to define attitudes to some of the great social issues of our time – such as human embryology, gender and cancer.
IMMUNOBIOLOGY AND MICROBES
Battling to boost our defences and repair damage

Our researchers investigate what drives tissue damage and repair in immune-related diseases such as multiple sclerosis (MS). We lead world-class research around microbes resistant to antibiotics. We investigate lung infections associated with a range of illnesses.
