Gender Equality Office
UNITING TO PROMOTE GENDER EQUALITY
The Gender Equality Office was launched in September 2011 and the School of Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences was the first area within Queen’s University to set up its own office dedicated to gender equality.
Professor Michelle McKinley is the Director of Gender Equality, and Co-SWAN Champion along with Professor Karen McCloskey for the School.
The Gender Equality Office in the School of Medicine, Dentistry & Biomedical Sciences is closely linked with the Queen’s Gender Initiative, which supports women’s career opportunities across the University.
For queries, please contact Erin Davidson, Gender Equality Coordinator on ext. 6024 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are delighted to announce that the School of Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences has been awarded with a prestigious Athena SWAN Gold Award in the latest round of awards.

GENDER EQUALITY GOOD PRACTICE IN SCHOOLS
The Gender Equality GOOD PRACTICE IN SCHOOLS booklet presents examples of good practice in supporting women’s academic careers (pdf). It has its genesis in the sharing of ideas and practices across the sciences generated by the University’s and Schools’ commitment to supporting women in science.
