Gender Equality Office
UNITING TO PROMOTE GENDER EQUALITY
The Gender Equality Office was launched in September 2011 and the School of Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences was the first area within Queen’s University to set up its own office dedicated to gender equality.
Professor Karen McCloskey is the Director of Gender Equality, and Co-SWAN Champion along with Professor Michelle McKinley for the School.
The Gender Equality Office in the School of Medicine, Dentistry & Biomedical Sciences is closely linked with the Queen’s Gender Initiative, which supports women’s career opportunities across the University.
For queries, please contact Erin Davidson, Gender Equality Coordination Assistant on ext. 2428 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The School of Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences was awarded with a renewal of the prestigious Athena SWAN Silver award in September 2016, which is valid for 3 years to November 2019. View our submission below.
As part of our Action Plan, we have highlighted areas that we will work towards achieving during the lifetime of our Silver Renewal to April 2019.
