Professor Andrew Meharg
Andrew’s research is on the biogeochemical cycling of contaminants in agronomic & natural ecosystems focusing on:
- Pollutant fluxes into & out of ecosystems
- How organisms are exposed to contaminants
- How those contaminants are assimilated & metabolized
- Adaptive strategies to avoid/detoxify contaminants.
Andrew has also concentrated specifically on Arsenic using advanced speciation techniques, to investigate its environmental behavior.Find out more
