National Postdoc Appreciation Week 2021

National Postdoc Appreciation Week (NPAW) is taking place from Monday 20th September to Friday 24th September to celebrate the contributions of postdoctoral researchers to research across the world.

If you work with a great postdoc, this is the perfect opportunity to tell them how much you value them! You can even use one of our NPAW cards by email or social media (don’t forget to tag @QUBPostdoc and use #LovePostdocs).

 

NPAW programme:

  • Celebrating successes - exploring diverse careers in the Postdoc afterlife: Mon 20 Sep (11:00 – 12:30). This panel discussion features former postdocs now in a range of career paths (academic or not) reflecting on how they got where they are. They include Dr Alison Garden, UKRI Future Leaders Fellow at Queen's
  • Postdoc Awards 2021 - winners announcement: Wed 22 Sep (14:00 – 14:30). Every year, the Postdoc Awards celebrate the achievements of Queen's postdocs in research, support and citizenship and outreach. The winners will be announced via the PDC’s Twitter account (@QUBPostdoc), then listed on the PDC website (MHLS, EPS, AHSS)
  • National Postdoc Conference 2021: Fri 24 Sep (9:15 – 16:30). The NPDC virtual conference features a range of talks, bite-size interactive sessions and networking opportunities around the theme "New realities, stronger connections, successful futures"
