Queen’s signs MoU with the University of Gdańsk
Queen’s has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Gdańsk in Poland, providing opportunities for student and staff exchanges and the enhancement of joint research projects.

The University of Gdańsk is a leading public research university, ranked among the top 10 universities in Poland.
The MoU was initiated by Professor Karola Dillenburger, from the School of Social Sciences, Education and Social Work at Queen’s during a recent visit to the Institute of Child Development in Gdansk, where she met with Professor Malgorzata Lipowska, the Director of the Institute of Psychology.
The Institute has provided extensive support in various areas for autistic children and their families since 2006, with specialised staff working in applied behaviour analysis.
Speaking about the MoU, Professor Dillenburger said: "We are delighted that Queen’s has signed the MOU with University of Gdansk in Poland. This is a major achievement and the first such agreement between our universities. We are looking forward to working together."
Professor Nola Hewitt-Dundas, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at Queen’s commented: “This Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Gdańsk highlights our ongoing commitment to global collaboration and excellence in research and teaching. We look forward to the valuable opportunities it will create for Queen’s students, staff, and research partnerships.”
The MoU with the University of Gdańsk will be led by Dr Nichola Booth from the School of Social Sciences, Education and Social Work at Queen’s, with all MOU activities open to all Queen’s staff and students.
