Jordan McMullen
“The Queen’s Leader 18-45 recognition is important because we are typically not good at promoting talent and achievements in Northern Ireland, some of this coming from our self-depreciating culture”
Jordan McMullen is the Chief Operating Officer at Ctrl Alt, overseeing the fintech firm’s operations and driving global expansion, including a new office in Belfast. He started his career at Morgan Stanley, where he developed expertise in trading risk management, product development and scalable financial solutions for institutional clients. Jordan is passionate about creating opportunities in Northern Ireland’s fintech ecosystem and building tokenisation solutions globally.
“Queen’s opens a world of opportunity to students, be that through study, extra curricular activities or developing a strong network. The Finance Degree at Queen’s opened up new knowledge and insights to the industry, with lecturers who cared about their students' development and went above and beyond to bring the degree to life”
At Queen’s, Jordan served as the COO of the Queen’s Student Managed Fund, and he credits the role with honing operational and people management skills, as well as allowing him to apply his expertise in finance theory in the real world through experience and collaboration.
“Queen’s alumni are particularly keen to help others and share knowledge on their experiences, I found this incredibly useful when navigating placement opportunities in London. It was through Queen’s and the alumni network that I decided to pursue a career in London.”
