Study Abroad (Inbound Undergraduate or Postgraduate Mobility)

Queen’s welcomes students from partner institutions to join us for one semester or a full academic year as part of their home university degree. We welcome students across a wide range of disciplines and levels, including first year abroad. Find out more by visiting our study abroad webpages.

Summer Schools

We’re delighted to welcome partner university students to Queen’s each summer. We offer a range of summer school programmes across Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences and Engineering and Physical Sciences. Find out more here.

Additionally, we deliver a number of bespoke summer school programmes specifically for University partners who wish to send a cohort of students to Queen’s. Get in touch to discuss a tailored summer school programme for your University.

Articulation Agreements (e.g. 2+2, 3+1)

Articulation programmes enable students to complete part of their degree at their home institution and country before transferring to Queen’s to complete their studies and graduate with a Queen’s University Belfast degree.

Progression to Postgraduate Study (e.g. 3+1+1 or 4+1)

These models allow undergraduate students at partner institutions to progress directly into a one-year Master’s programme at Queen’s upon completion of their bachelor’s degree.

Transnational Education (TNE)

We partner with institutions globally to co-deliver Queen’s programmes outside the UK, allowing students to access a Queen’s degree in their own country or region. Additionally, Queen’s has recently launched a branch campus in GIFT city India and will be enrolling students from January 2026.

Featured Partnership: Joint College with China Medical University

In 2014, Queen’s proudly launched a flagship Joint College in the People’s Republic of China called CQC – China Queen’s College.

CQC was developed between China Medical University (CMU) and Queen’s University Belfast to provide undergraduate programmes in Shenyang.  Programmes in Pharmaceutical Sciences or Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, are taught in English and delivered to UK Quality Assurance standards in high-quality purpose-built facilities on CMU’s campus in Liaoning Province.
