Queen's and NIPANC explore opportunities for future collaboration
Professor Chris Scott, Interim Dean of Research for the Faculty of Medicine, Health, and Life Sciences at Queen’s University, met with local pancreatic cancer charity NIPANC to look at exploratory opportunities for future collaboration.

Professor Scott met with Ivan McMinn, Chairperson of NIPANC and endurance cyclist, Cathy Booth at the Patrick G Johnston Centre for Cancer Research at Queen's University Belfast.
The connection came about as a result of the #PedalThePeriphery campaign in which sisters Andrea Harrower and Cathy Booth will take on an epic endurance challenge cycling 480 miles in just 48 hours non-stop around NI in memory of two loved ones who died of pancreatic cancer.
Professor Scott, Interim Dean of Research for the Faculty of Medicine, Health, and Life Sciences at Queen’s University, said: "This was a fantastic opportunity to hear about how NIPANC is working to improve the lives of people with pancreatic cancer, and to discuss the pioneering research we are doing at the Patrick G Johnston Centre for Cancer Research to find new ways to advance and tackle cancer. We are looking forward to new possibilities going forward."
