•  Undergraduate: Medicine, Dentistry, Agricultural Technology and Theology.
•  ALL Distance Learning programmes, foundation degree programmes and non-standard fee courses, including part-time programmes.

No application is required for the  International Undergraduate Scholarship or the LLB Senior Status Scholarship We will automatically assess your application and if you are eligible, we will issue confirmation of your award with your offer if you have made a direct application to study at the University or shortly after you've received your offer if you have applied through UCAS.

Contact us at internationalscholarships@qub.ac.uk quoting your name and application reference if you haven't received confirmation.

All other awards require you to make an application, but you should only do this after you have been offered a place to study on your chosen programme.

International Undergraduate Scholarship offers £3500 for eligible Fee Rate 1 Programmes for your first year of study.

Vice Chancellor's International Attainment Scholarship offers 50% reduction on tuition fees for all years of your programme.

Queen's Loyalty Scholarship or Queen's Family Scholarship  offers 20% reduction on tuition fees for your first year of study.

Early Confirmation Award a £1500 reduction on tuition fees for unconditional offer holders paying net tuition fees by the deadline.

LLB Law Senior Status Scholarship a fee reduction of £4000 for your first year of study.

The Early Confirmation Award is a £1500 tuition fee discount for new international students who have an unconditional offer and pay tuition fees in full* by the specified deadline.

*Deduct the £1500 Early Confirmation Award and any other scholarship which has been confirmed by International Scholarships.

You must comply with all the following conditions by the appropriate deadline:

• Be a new student enrolling at Queen's University Belfast for the first time.
• Have an unconditional offer.
• Pay your tuition fees in full after deducting the £1500 Early Confirmation Award and any other scholarship which has been confirmed by International Scholarships. 

The following deadlines apply:

Undergraduate unconditional offer holders must pay their net Year 1 tuition fees by 18 September 2026. 

Tuition fees - Scholarship + Early Confirmation Award = Net Tuition fees

Contact internationalscholarships@qub.ac.uk with your proof of payment and we will credit your discount to your tuition fee account. If you fail to notify internationalscholarships@qub.ac.uk  we cannot award your discount.

The selection of our Vice Chancellor's International Attainment Scholars is a competitive process and not all applications will be successful. 

All scholarships are offered subject to terms and conditions.

Please do not send references, academic transcripts or any form of supporting documentation with your scholarship application.

Any documents will be deleted and will not be taken into consideration by the panel.

Your application should consist of your online application form and video submission.

Your video should outline why you want to come and study at Queen's University Belfast and how you believe your programme of choice will benefit you in your future career aspirations. Please keep to the subject matter, we do not require a list of your academic achievements.

Guidelines 

The criteria are not for high quality video production, you will be judged on the content and the quality of presentation skills only.

• Please ensure that your video is clearly audible. 
• If we cannot open your video your submission will not be accepted.
• Please ensure that you clearly identify your submission by including your Queen's University Belfast application reference and your full name on the email which accompanies your video.
• Any videos that exceed the requested length of 2 minutes will NOT be considered.

Please ensure that your video can be opened and viewed by us using VLC media player. VLC media player supports many video file formats, and we would recommend MP4.

We would suggest using WeTransfer to send your video and would ask that you test it to ensure that it can be opened, before sending. 

There are 4 awards for exceptional undergraduate students.

We contact the successful candidates by telephone in the first instance no later than the end of July. 

Please be aware we contact only the successful candidates.

If you have not been contacted by the end of July you may assume you have been unsuccessful.
