Orla Smyth
Official TEDx Talk – ‘My hope is we can make the Transplant Waiting List history’
Talk Overview
In this deeply personal and thought-provoking talk, Orla Smyth explores the paradox of one person’s hope being another person’s tragedy. The talk suggests that by reframing the narrative around organ donation, this paradox can be overcome, ensuring there are always enough organs available. It also examines the lives left behind without organ donation and the long waiting lists that persist when donations do not occur.
