Tatenda Mawoyo Stellenbosch University (South Africa) Visits QUB Innovation Zones

Tatenda Mawoyo, a researcher and PhD student at Stellenbosch University’s Institute for Life Course Health Research (South Africa), was honoured to participate in the Local Innovation for Global Application colloquium hosted by Queen’s University Belfast Innovation Zones.
The event highlighted inspiring local projects with potential global impact. Tatenda contributed reflections on how these innovations could be applied globally, noting the value of authentic researcher-community collaboration, community-led research priorities, and the importance of patience for meaningful outcomes.
The week-long visit also provided valuable networking opportunities and laid the groundwork for potential collaborations between Stellenbosch University and Queen’s University Belfast.
