Gift City - QUB GIFT City Launch Scholarship
The QUB GIFT City Launch Scholarship offers up to 20 applicants a £2000 scholarship on the cost of a full-time subject postgraduate programme at Queen’s University Belfast GIFT City campus. Recipients of this Scholarship can use this award in conjunction with £2000 GIFT City Postgraduate Scholarship shown in their offer letter.
Applicants can only apply and be considered for the GIFT City Launch Scholarship after they have been offered a place to study on their chosen eligible programme and have FIRMLY accepted their offer. Applications cannot be considered in advance of applicants meeting these two criteria.
All scholarships are offered subject to terms and conditions.

Applications will open in December 2025 and close on 13 February 2026 15:00 GMT
This is a competitive process and not all applications will be successful. The successful candidates will be contacted in the first instance by telephone, if you have not been contacted by the end of January 2026 you may assume you have been unsuccessful.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
- The QUB GIFT City Launch Scholarship is exclusive to those enrolling on a full-time postgraduate programme at Queen’s University Belfast GIFT City campus. The QUB GIFT City Launch Scholarship offers up to 20 applicants a £2000 scholarship on the cost of a full-time subject postgraduate programme at Queen’s University Belfast GIFT City campus. Recipients of this Scholarship can use this award in conjunction with £2000 GIFT City Postgraduate Scholarship shown in their offer letter.
- Students must hold an offer for a place on a full-time postgraduate programme at Queen’s University Belfast GIFT City campus, starting in January 2026, and have paid the required mandatory deposit of £2000.
- Prior to commencement of study, students must have met any academic and language conditions attached to their offer as stated in their offer letter.
- Applicants must complete the application form (link to be provided) and submit an essay (not exceeding 500 words) on the topic “What unique perspective or experience would you contribute to this inaugural cohort?” to be considered for the award.
- The discount is awarded for the first year of study only and is deducted from gross tuition fees upon enrolment.
- Any QUB GIFT City Launch Scholarship awarded is for entry to Queen’s University Belfast GIFT City campus in January 2026 and cannot be used for entry to the University at any other time.
- If you wish to defer your entry to the University your scholarship will not be transferred.
- Students must request authorisation from International Scholarships before making any changes to their programme of study. Where changes are made without authorisation being granted, the scholarship may be withdrawn, and students may be required to repay the scholarship in full.
- If a student has received scholarship offers for a number of different programmes at Queen’s University Belfast GIFT City campus, they will only be able to redeem one scholarship award. This will be the scholarship award for the course onto which they enrol in January 2026.
- Beneficiaries of the Scholarship may be required to undertake ambassadorial duties for Queen’s University Belfast GIFT City.
- The University is unable to consider requests for increased and/or further funding. The amount of scholarship offered is non-negotiable.
- The University reserves the right to vary all or any scholarship awards, discounts and regulations at its sole discretion.
