Head of Accommodation at Queen’s, Michael Uprichard, commented:
“This award, recognising our operational excellence in Queen’s Accommodation, is a great achievement that underlines our high standards and the ways we strive to make our students’ living experience as smooth and streamlined as possible. I’d like to thank all our operational colleagues for helping us achieve this significant award.”
Head of Residential and Hospitality Services, Student and Campus Experience Directorate, Lisa Steele, added:
“When we applied for the awards, we wanted to demonstrate our commitment to operational excellence at Queen’s and to show that we are sector leaders in this area. So we’re really proud to have done what we set out to do and to be recognised for this in such a competitive environment. Well done to the whole team!”

The annual Operational Excellence Awards UK ‘celebrate organisations and individuals setting new standards for operational excellence' and recognise ‘those driving business transformation through process improvement, technology adoption, and enhanced customer experience’.
This year’s judging panel included a mix of company founders, directors and university academics with high-level experience and specialisms in operational management.
