The recent WE Innovate Networking Event brought together students, researchers, and alumni for an afternoon of connection, inspiration, and entrepreneurial ambition. The event drew a full room of participants eager to engage with like-minded innovators and explore new ideas within a supportive community.

Guest speaker ’Ronke Kokoruwe delivered a standout keynote, sharing powerful insights that resonated deeply with attendees. Reflecting on the experience, she said:

Her contribution was complemented by a panel of programme participants who spoke candidly about their journeys through We Innovate, highlighting both challenges and growth. Their reflections underscored the value of community, mentorship, and shared experience in nurturing emerging innovators.

The event also marked the official launch of recruitment for the next WE Innovate cohort. The programme supports women-identified students, researchers, and alumni at Queen’s University Belfast who are developing entrepreneurial ideas or exploring early-stage concepts. Participants can expect access to skill-building workshops, mentoring, retreats, pitching opportunities, funding support, and an encouraging peer network.
