Leads the AHSS Student Skills Assistant (SSA) programme, a peer-led initiative designed to enhance employability, digital, and academic skill development across the Faculty.

Embeds student employability related activity through collaboration with Schools, the Development Office, and external partners.

Oversees the recruitment, training, and development of the SSA team, ensuring alignment with Faculty and University priorities.

Guides the team in designing and delivering student-led workshops, drop-ins, and digital resources that support the “For Students, By Students” ethos.

Coordinates flagship events such as Skills Fest, providing strategic direction and ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery.

Monitors the impact and reach of SSA activity through evaluation, feedback, and reporting to inform continuous improvement.

Ensures the programme develops confident, capable students equipped with skills for both academic success and future employability.

Works closely with the Manager and Employability and Skills Development Officers to plan and promote student-facing events, workshops, and campaigns.

Contributes to the design and implementation of peer-led initiatives through the Student Skills Assistant programme.

Assists with communications, marketing, and content creation to highlight employability and skills development opportunities.

Helps collect and evaluate student feedback and engagement data to inform future activity.

Promotes the integration of student employability activity into the student journey, connecting academic study with professional, digital, and personal growth.
