Activity Overview
Level of StudyUndergraduate, Postgraduate Taught/Masters, Postgraduate Research
Award TypeSingle Route
Developed by colleagues in Careers, Employability and Skills, Accessible Learning Support, and external partner Specialisterne (a leader in neurodiversity employment), Career Boost integrates expertise from Queen’s Professional Services with evidence-based strategies from Specialisterne’s Empower programme (peer support workshops for neurodivergent job seekers).
Incorporating the student voice, and particularly the neurodivergent student voice in its design, the 10-week programme addresses real-world employability challenges and fosters inclusivity through:
- Hybrid delivery: Blending in-person sessions, online learning, and self-directed activities to accommodate diverse learning preferences and schedules.
- Multisensory teaching approaches: Ensuring accessibility for neurodivergent learners and promoting equitable engagement.
- Peer-to-peer learning: Leveraging the Queen’s community to create collaborative, supportive environments.
