Student Partnership Project
Activity Overview
Level of StudyUndergraduate, Postgraduate Taught/Masters, Postgraduate Research
Award TypeSingle Route, Combined Route
The Student Partnership Framework enables Queen’s students and staff to work in collaboration to design, implement, and evaluate initiatives that enhance learning, teaching, and the wider student experience. Students are recruited to projects based on skills, interests, and experience, and participate as equal partners—co-designing, delivering, and reviewing outcomes.
Activities range from curriculum enhancement and policy development to service improvement and strategic projects. You may work on a project that has already started, or co-create one from the very beginning, or consult on ongoing activity. The framework will support our community to engage as equitable partners and deliver a great experience for our staff and students.
There are several ways to get involved:
- Student Partnership Project – via the Combined Route, students are engaged as partners to collaborate with staff on a short-term project. The minimum hours for this route are around 17.5 hours.
- Student Partnership Project – via the Single Route, students and staff collaborate on a longer-term/larger project, requiring more time and contribution from all involved. The minimum hours for this route are around 35 hours.
Please note: Every project will be different, the time and contribution will vary per project. Therefore, the routes available allow flexibility in hours and activities required to complete them. The Student Partnership Project Team can best advise on which route applies to your given project.
