Interviews usually take place the last Friday of the month around lunchtime and are co-organised by the PDC and local postdoc reps and committees from all Faculty Schools and Centres, to ensure relevance to all. They take place via MS Teams and involve set questions asked by the chair and time for attendees to ask additional questions via the chat. While guests are usually chosen to have a PhD background, all staff and students are welcome.

The January 2021 interview will feature two guests, Dr Joan Edwards, Specialist Animal Nutrition at Palital Feed Additives (invited by Linda Oyama, postdoc in the School of Biological Sciences) and Dr Ivan Fisher, Vice President Regulatory Affairs and Head of Mergers and Acquisitions at G&L Scientific (invited by Claire Tonry, postdoc in the Wellcome-Wolfson Institute for Experimental Medicine).

Joan oversees the scientific and technical support of the development, research and global sales of Palital's products, with a particular emphasis on ruminant applications. As well as working in Palital's R&D team, she collaborates and performs scientific research together with numerous international research organisations.

Ivan completed his PhD at Imperial College London, following which he spent some time working as a postdoc. He then made the move into regulatory affairs, staring as a manager, and worked his way up to assistant vice president at Genpact Pharmalink. Ivan is currently working at G&L Scientific as Vice President of Regulatory affairs.

Registered participants will be sent a Teams link closer to the date but should hold the time in their calendar right away.

Attendees will be able to ask questions using the MS Teams chat.
